Apartment Review for Polo Club Luxury Rentals - Las Vegas, NV

We had moved in on 9/13/2009 and was a nightmare since then. We had chosen an appt for $840.00 that we could afford, 2 days later, Polo Club called us and said, We are sorry, that apt has been given away already. We had paid app and deposit fees to move in. We were so upset with customer service. We told them we wanted our app and deposit back, they tols us app is not refundable, and i wont get back my deposit for 1 month by mail. How are we gonna get our deposit for another apt. We didnt have much choices then, we had to choose another apt which was more expensive, we didn't know if we could afford it, but we didnt have a choice, we had no money for deposit for another place. They did not want to help when we told them we had a problem trying to make rent for the month of July 2009. Maintenance was an issue. We had a credit score of 725..We had to agree to pay $955 a month plus pet deposit of $250 plus pet rent plus trash plus sewer which comes out to a toal of $1,020 a month. now it is time to renew our lease. They don't want to loose our business. They want to offer us to renew the lease for $955 plus pet rent of $25 plus trash plus sewer...which comes out to be $1,020 a month. While, the neighbor across from us just moved in 2 months ago, that has the exact same apartment, he was offered to sign a lease for one year for $709 a month plus trash plus sewer which comes out to be $730. Is there fair? We stay on an apt downstairs. Upstairs apartments go for $1045 a month. That's why we did not choose the upstairs...we just couldnt afford it. Comes to find out that the guy above the neighbor across from us us also paying $709. The Upper level apartments are more expensive than the Downstairs apartments. Why is he paying $709 for an upstairs 2 bedroom 2 bath, and we have to pay $955 for a Downstairs 2 bedroom 2 bath. Do not sign a lease with Polo Club Apartments. They promise alot of things before you sign the lease that they never accomplish. One you sign the lease, they don't want to help. My husband just got laid off from work, and polo club apartments will not help. We have asked to end our lease 2 month early due to no income. They told us if we leave 2 months early we would still have have responsibility of the two months instead of offering to make other payment arrangements. There was 2 people murdered a month ago, I wouldnt be surprised, they let anyone in the gate. Our gate card hasnt worked for 3 months now...but we still get in....They cant even get our gate card to read or give us a new one. As far as the parking spots assigned to our apartment, we have to walk to the back of the our apartment, around the corner, and 2 apartment buildings down to get to my car. I don't care if they offer us $600 for rent to renew our lease...this isnt worth it. We are not comfortable with this place. And will never look back.
