Apartment Review for The Regent At Town Center - Las Vegas, NV

I was the original tenant here, at the Regent. We were the first to rent their brand new apartment--which was nice for the money. First half a year we were really satisfied. However, after that everything changed. The management changed a few times, but I liked and still like all of the people in the office. In the beginning, the only hassle was that people came in to view our "condo" so that they can buy it and be its owner for investment purposes. It got to the point where they came in when we were sleeping or making love. Very annoying, so we were happy when somone finally purchased our condo and we got a new land lord, but were still managed by the office staff, which remained very nice, always knew my name and were very helpful. The parking is great. Never ever an issue. BUT...SECURITY IS TERRIBLE. OUR CARS HAVE BEEN VANDALIZED THREE TIMES WITHIN A YEAR PERIOD (SOMEONE TOOK A BASEBALL BAT TO THE HOOD OF MY CAR, SOMOENE STOLE GAS FROM MY CAR, BY DAMAGING THE GAS DOOR, SOMEONE SLASHED OUR TIRES TWICE. Also, 3 of our neighbors had their cars stolen. One had the car stolen twice! OUR PORCH CLOSET WAS BROKEN INTO AND VALUABLE ITEMS WERE STOLEN. I would not recommend this complex. The neighborhood is very nice and it's close to the high ways, but there is NO reliable SECURITY HERE! We lived all the way toward the back of the complex--suggestion--don't live there. The only place to live is right out front of the complex, and even then after everything I would no longer feel secure. There are hoodlams all over the complex who are watching your every move. I am from a huge city out on the East Coast, and I am used to ghetto thugs and crime, but this has surpassed my experience of anything back east. Your car and your valuables won't survive in this place. Stay away, despite the good management, security should be your number one priority.
